Where Naples International Airport is

Naples International Airport, also called Aeroporto Internazionale di Napoli-Capodichino, is connected to the city centre by Alibus and taxi services. From the airport, the Alibus serves Napoli Centrale railway station and the port at Molo Beverello, giving you connections to two key city destinations.

Public transport options into the city

Public transport options into the city

Alibus is the airport bus connection to Napoli Centrale railway station and Molo Beverello. Its stop is on the access road to the terminal building, so follow the airport signs towards the bus stop after you arrive.

The airport says you can buy Alibus tickets at automated machines on the arrivals level, online or on board. ANM lists a single-ride ticket at €5.00. The airport says the bus is equipped for passengers who use wheelchairs.

At Napoli Centrale, you can connect with rail services; Molo Beverello is the port destination served by the route. For more on getting around once you arrive, see this guide to Naples public transport, tickets and connections.

Taxi and road transfers

Taxi and road transfers

You can find the taxi rank in front of Arrivals. Radio taxis use a dedicated lane next to the Pick-up area, accessible from Arrivals. The City of Naples lists predetermined fares for several destinations, while shared taxis offer another road-transfer option.

Predetermined-fare taxi

The City of Naples lists a €21.00 predetermined fare from the airport to either the Stazione Centrale/Piazza Garibaldi area or the ZTL Centro Storico. The listed fare to Molo Beverello is €24.00. Naples Airport says these flat fares include airport, night, holiday, luggage and animal supplements; motorway tolls and radio-taxi calls are not included.

Shared taxi

Shared taxis board in the Pick-up parking area, about 100 metres from Arrivals, and connect the airport with the Central Station and Molo Beverello. The listed fare is €6.00 per passenger per route, including luggage, with no taximeter; the fare applies even if the taxi makes intermediate stops.

Naples Airport says shared taxis depart 15 minutes after the first three passengers have arrived. The driver gives each passenger a receipt before departure, so allow for a wait while the other passengers gather.

If someone is collecting you by car, the Pick-up area near Arrivals allows a free stop of up to 15 minutes. The vehicle registration must be entered at the area’s parking meter, and the ticket displayed.

Planning the last leg to the historic centre

Planning the last leg to the historic centre

Choose your airport transfer based on where you want to arrive: Alibus and shared taxis serve Napoli Centrale and Molo Beverello, while the listed predetermined taxi fare covers the ZTL Centro Storico. From there, plan your final connection to your address in the historic centre.

If you arrive by bus or taxi and need reduced-mobility assistance, Naples Airport says you can request it at the intercom at the stop in front of the Departures terminal. For ideas on what to do after reaching the centre, see this one-day Naples itinerary from the historic centre.

Before you go: Fares and airport arrangements can change, so check the official site before you go.
